LAKE WALES -- Mrs. Rose W. Holman of Lake Wales died of heart failure Thursday (Sept. 22, 2005) at home. She was 90.

Born in Roxboro, N.C., on July 31, 1915, Mrs. Holman came to Lake Wales from Black Mountain, N.C., in 1963. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Chapter CD P.E.O. She was a former member of the Lake Wales Women's Club, Rose Circle of Lake Wales, Garden Club, and Lake Wales Country Club. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Lake Wales where she was a member of the Esther Schaaf Sunday School Class, Belle Johnson Circle of the United Methodist Women and a charter member of the Altar Guild.

Mrs. Holman was preceded in death by her husband, J.L. "Ted" Holman Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Holly Holman Myers, Apollo Beach; son, Hugh Lockhart Holman, Winter Haven; one granddaughter.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at First United Methodist Church.
