Rose Jean Cortright of Lake Wales passed away Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at AdventHealth Lake Wales.

She was born June 23, 1939 in York, AL to the late Robert and Lula Mae Lewis; and moved to the area from Orlando over 20 years ago. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and her dog, Bufford. She enjoyed watching country western movies and cooking.

Survivors include her daughters, Terry Whitefield of Lake Wales, Teresa Mayes of Gaithersburg, MD, Michelle Shannon (Russell) of Lake Wales and Gloria Davis (Ray) of Tifton, GA; son, James Cortright (Terry) of Winter Haven; sister, Elizabeth Shaw of Alabama; brothers, Ernest Usry of Mississippi and Robert Usry of Alabama; 13 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
