Rosa A. Cruz, 62

Rosa A. Cruz of Lake Wales passed away Saturday, April 16, 2022 at Orlando Regional Medical Center.

She was born August 30, 1959 in El Salvador to Valentin and Petronila Cruz; she moved to Lake Wales from Washington D.C. 35 years ago. Rosa was retired from Kentucky Fried Chicken after 22 years and was a member of the Polk County Citizens Patrol with her husband. She enjoyed doing hand crafts, gardening flowers, herbs, and vegetables, and watching the Family Feud TV Show.

Rosa was preceded in death by her son, Melbi Cruz and father, Valentin Cruz. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Fidel A. Cruz; daughter, Yesenia Medley and husband Edward of Winter Haven; sons, Estevan Cruz and wife Angela of Frostproof, and Cesar Cruz and wife Hasmig of Lake Wales; Mother, Petronila Cruz ; seven sisters; two brothers; grandchildren, Ximena, Trent, Sheyenne, Hayden, Ambria, Joshua, Edward, Liya, and Shahe; and great-grandchild, Asher.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at Lake Wales Memorial Gardens.
