Ronald D. "Ron" Hardy

Ronald D. "Ron" Hardy of Lake Wales passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at the Lake Wales Medical Center.

He was born January 08, 1940 in Warrensburg, IL to the late Emitt H. & Maude (Jones) Hardy; he came here in 1998 from Jensen Beach, FL. He was the owner/operator of Bridgemaster Fishing Products, a member of the Westside Baptist Church and a veteran, serving in the U.S. Army. He loved fishing and fishermen and enjoyed cruising. His hobby was making people laugh and he loved the Lord and gospel singing.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Josie Hardy; daughter, Terri J. Strasser of Luverne, MN; son, Dean E. Hardy of Charlotte, NC; brothers, Paul Hardy of Lady Lake, FL and Don Hardy of Lake Wales; sister, Janet Williams of Decatur, IL; and seven grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM, Friday, September 25, 2009 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales. Funeral service will be held 10:00 AM, Saturday, September 26, 2009 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Young officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Youth for Christ Ministries, Post Office Box 2584, Winter Haven, FL 33883.
