Romie D. Sharpe, Sr.

Romie D. Sharpe, Sr. passed away on February 12, 2026, at the AdventHealth Heart of Florida. He was born on August 11, 1944, in Soperton, Georgia.

Romie was a dedicated family man and enjoyed his role as a husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He worked as a diesel mechanic, and after many years in his career, he retired to spend more time with his loved ones.

He leaves behind his beloved wife, Vivian Sharpe, with whom he shared 62 wonderful years of marriage. Romie is also survived by his two sons, Romie Sharpe, Jr. and his wife Tina of Babson Park, and Tracy Sharpe of Lake Wales. He cherished his four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, who brought immense joy to his life.

Romie was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Della Sharpe, and his siblings: brother Woodrow Sharpe, brother Willie Sharpe, Jr., and sisters Ethel Beasley and Eileen Henry.
