Roger T. Hollowell

Roger T. Hollowell of Lake Wales passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at the Bartow Regional Medical Center.

He was born April 3, 1927 in Flint, MI to the late Walter P. & Ida V. Hollowell; he came here in 1996 from Columbus, IN. He was a retired mechanical/manufacturing engineer for Permawick Co in Columbus, IN and was a veteran of World War II and Korea, serving in the U.S. Army Air Corp and U.S. Air Force. He served on the Board of Directors at LaCasa and was a member of the Bok Tower Sanctuary. He enjoyed sailing, traveling and has toured the United States and Canada.

Roger was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Margaret Hollowell in 2001. Survivors include his daughter, Theresa Lynn Hollowell of Kalamazoo, MI; sons, Roger Lee Hollowell of Carbondale, CO and Kevin Scott Hollowell of Columbus, IN; three grandchildren; and companion, Jean Noland of Lake Wales.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM, Saturday, February 13, 2010 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales.
