Roger Hackle

Roger Hackle of Lake Wales passed away Monday, December 07, 2009 at the Lake Wales Medical Center.

He was born December 13, 1947 in Boynton Beach, FL to the late Pierce & Vera (Haar) Hackle; he came here from Boynton Beach 10 years ago. He was a firefighter for the Palm Beach County Fire & Rescue, attended the Holy Spirit Catholic Church and a veteran of Viet Nam, serving in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, air boating and collecting guns and knives.

Survivors include his wife, Anna Hackle; daughter, Debra Barden of Palm Bay; sons, Joseph Skaates of Boynton Beach and Roger Hackle of Lake Wales; sister, Debbie Williams of Grant; brothers, Carl "Chuck" Hackle of Pinetta and Dale Hackle of Pinetta; and granddaughter, Elizabeth.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM, Friday, December 11, 2009, and from 9:00 AM until service time on Saturday, at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales. Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 12, 2009 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales with Father Anthony Bluett officiating. Interment will follow at the Lake Wales Cemetery.
