Roger Allen Edwards

Roger Edwards, 62 of Babson Park, Florida passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at his residence. He was born on June 9, 1953 in Flint, Michigan to the late Robert Alton and Shirley (Knight) Edwards and he has been a resident of this area since the age of 13 moving here from California. He was a Facility Superintendent for the State of Florida Department of Transportation. Roger loved sports including softball, Gator Football, he loved his wife, sons, grandson and his family. He enjoyed spending time with his family at home. Roger was a Lake Wales Little League Coach for 14 years. Survivors include his wife of 36 years Betsy Edwards ; sons, Blake Edwards and Reid Edwards both of Babson Park; sister, Debi Miller of GA; brothers, Bob Edwards (Joanna) of Lake Wales, Rodney Edwards (Rachel Dunker) of Lake Wales, David Edwards of Lakeland; grandson, Gunnar Edwards. Memorial services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, February 13, 2016 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home with Rev. Steven Bolden officiating. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the American Cancer Society or Cornerstone Hospice.
