Rocky L Meyers

Rocky L. Meyers of Lake Wales passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at the Lake Wales Medical Center.

He was born September 24, 1959 in Fort Wayne, IN to the late Homer Curtis & Sarah Elizabeth Meyers; and he came here from Indiana in 1982. He worked for the Polk County School Board and was of the Nazarene faith. He was an avid motorcyclist and enjoyed outdoor activities, including camping and boating. He loved family time and enjoyed socializing with friends and family.

Rocky was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Donald Meyers and Artie Meyers.

Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Sherry M. Martin; four sons, Captain Michael Martin and wife Jeanetta of Bealls AFB, CA, Rocky L. Meyers, II and wife Stephanie of Lake Wales, Andrew T. Meyers of Lake Wales and Matthew A. Meyers of Lake Wales; four sisters; Patricia Kingsley of Auburndale, Linda Cates of Buckhead, Ga, Teresa Jernigan of Fenwick, MI, Joan Cox of Ft. Wayne, IN; three brothers, Rick Meyers of Auburndale, Terry Meyers of Auburndale, Darrel Meyers of Plant City and six grandchildren, Bailey, Jake, Katelyn, Taylor, Tabitha and Adam.
