Truck Driver

Edward “Rocky” Hatfield passed away Saturday, August 16, 2008 at his residence in Frostproof due to cancer.

Born September 23, 1932 in Hartford, Alabama; he came here 35 years ago from Lubbock, TX. He was a retired truck driver and served in the U.S. Air Force. He enjoyed fishing, truck driving, spending time with his family, music and dancing.

Survivors include by his wife, Jackie Hatfield of Frostproof; daughters, Linda West of Las Vegas, Nevada and Heather Richardson of Frostproof; son, Rocky Hatfield of Frostproof; brothers, Wayne Hatfield of Hartford, Alabama, Robert Earl Hatfield of Graceville, Alabama and Noel “Red” Hatfield of Hartford, Alabama; sisters, Clenna Sorrels and Julia Simmons both of Hartford, Alabama; 4 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM, Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Frostproof. Graveside services will be held on 11:00 AM, Thursday, August 21, 2008 at the Silver Hill Cemetery in Frostproof with Pastor Wren Collins officiating.
