Robert "Bob" Zelenka

Francis Robert "Bob" Zelenka of River Ranch passed away Friday, September 14, 2012 at the Lake Wales Medical Center.

He was born July 23, 1931 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Lad Michael and Agnes (Scholl) Zelenka; and he has been a resident of the area since 1965 moving here from Tampa. He started at River Ranch 45 years ago at the Marina, advancing to Real Estate Sales and administration. He was a veteran of Korea serving in the US Army, and was a historian of the Kissimmee River Basin and a former member of the Polk County Historian Society.

Survivors include his daughter, Susan (husband Keith) Barenberg of Kansas, OK; son, Thomas (wife Mindy) Zelenka of Lake Wales; brother, Lad Zelenka of Ohio; and two grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at the River Ranch Chapel.
