LAKE WALES--Robert Lee “Bob” Ward, 74, of Lake Wales died of cancer Friday, August 17, 2007 at his home.

Born December 09, 1932 in Lake Wales; he was a lifelong resident of the area. He was a carpenter and loved to fish and remodeling homes. He frequently visited with the I-HOP Coffee Club, which was his second home.

Mr. Ward was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Evelyn Ward in 2005. Survivors include his daughters, Anita & Wayne Boyett of Vicksburg, MS; Donna & Ed Caraway of Lake Wales; Debbie & Charlie Joyner of Blairsville, GA; Wanda Ward of Lake Wales; sons, James & Gail Ward of Lake Wales; Justin & Marilyn Ward of Holly Hill, SC; 19 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM, Tuesday, August 21, 2007 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, August 22, 2007 at the funeral home with Rev. Denny Cothern officiating.
