Robert E. “Bob” Stemple, 73
Robert E. “Bob” Stemple of Frostproof passed away Friday, July 23, 2021 at Advent Health Sebring.
He was born January 4, 1948 in Dayton, Ohio, to the late Worley Emery Stemple and Violet Maxine Hogan; he moved to Frostproof from Haines City 13 years ago. Bob was a retired educator and manager of computer technology at Sinclair Community College and was a member of the Southside Baptist Church of Frostproof. He was a member of The Sons of Confederate Veterans and The Federation of Christian Sportsman. He was an elder of the church and was co-leader of the boy’s group, Deus Belatore.
Bob was preceded in death by his great-grandson, Vincent Stemple in 2015; stepmother, Lotella Stemple; brothers-in-law, Kevin Bennett, and Charles and Gene York; two nephews, Jason York, and Daniel Sullivan; and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Charlotte and Charles York, Sr. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Charlene Stemple; sons, Robert William Stemple of Sarasota; and Benjamen Allen Stemple and fiancé Jodi of Dayton, Ohio; sisters, Marlene Rung and husband Robert of Aurora, Colorado, and Janice Bennett of Thornton, Colorado; brothers, Mark E. Stemple and wife Norma of Winter Haven, and John T. Stemple of Winter Haven; grandchildren, Aura, Kyle, and Damien Stemple; great-grandchildren, Ariel, and Mariana Stemple; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until the funeral service at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, July 31, 2021 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Frostproof with Rev. Mike Arms officiating.
