LAKE WALES -- Mr. Robert L. Richardson of Lake Wales died of heart failure Sunday (Sept. 25, 2005) at home. He was 88.

Born in Kentucky on June 9, 1917, Mr. Richardson came to Lake Wales from Grand Rapids, Mich., in 1977. He was a retired postal worker in Grand Rapids. He was a lifetime member of the Lake Wales Masonic Lodge. He was a member of the Lake Wales Moose Lodge.

Mr. Richardson was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Richardson. He is survived by his son, Ted Richardson, Grand Rapids, Mich.; brother, David Peoples, Virginia.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Marion Nelson Funeral Home of Lake Wales.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society.
