Robert H. "Bob" O'Connor, Sr.

Robert H. "Bob" O'Connor, Sr. of Lake Wales passed away Sunday, January 24, 2010 at his residence.

He was born August 22, 1942 in New Haven, CT to the late Louis O'Connor and Anita Alpert O'Connor; he came here 2 years ago from North Carolina. He was retired from the U.S. Navy, of the Protestant faith and a member of the F.M.C.A.

Bob was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Maggie O'Connor. Survivors include his wife, Cathy O'Connor; daughters, Terry Runte of Jacksonville, Gail Gray (Bob) of Ventura, CA, Kimberly Brown (Kevin) of Woodstock, GA and Dawn Suter (Courtney) of Jacksonville; son, Robert H. O'Connor, Jr. (Carolee) of Pinetown, NC; sister, Judith O'Connor of Branford, CT; brother, James O'Connor of Ocala; 17 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM until service time at 4:00 PM, Thursday, January 28, 2010 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales.
