Robert Lee Meeks

Robert L. Meeks of Lakeland, Florida passed away Saturday, December 22, 2012 at the Lakeland Regional Medical.

He was born January 01, 1939 in Eagle Lake, Florida to the late Thomas Carl and Sally Ethel (Lane) Meeks; and has been a lifelong resident of Polk County.

He was a retired Plumber for Disney World. Robert was a member of the Lakeland Social Singles, Plant City Strawberry Singles and Winter Haven Moose Lodge.

Robert was preceded in death by his brothers, Emmet Meeks, Charles Meeks; sisters, Thelma Pierce and Edith Brewer

Survivors include his daughters, Beverly Shelton of Tennessee, Sylvia Jones of Minnesota, Sonya Frantz of Lakeland; sisters, Juanita Branch of Lake Wales, Cora Acree of Orlando; brother, Johnny A. Meeks of Bartow; 7 Grandchildren

Memorial services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, December 27, 2012 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home with John Guzzetta officiating. Interment will be held at a later date.
