LAKE WALES -- Mr. Robert Thomas "Bob" "Pa Paw" McKee of Lake Wales died of heart failure Sunday (Dec. 18, 2005) in Winter Haven. He was 79.

Born in St. Petersburg on Sept. 26, 1926, he came to Lake Wales from Daytona Beach in 1964. He was a retired welder for Peterson Industries. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He later worked as a Charles Chips vender and for various gas stations in Lake Wales and Winter Haven. He was a member of Lake Wales Lutheran Church.

Mr. McKee is survived by his wife, Thelma McKee; daughters, Linda Schlottman, Casselberry, and Nancy Huntt, Winter Haven; sisters, Iris Terrill, June McKee, both of St. Petersburg; two grandchildren.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Lake Wales Lutheran Church. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
