Robert W. "Bob" "Red" Mccreary

Robert W. McCreary of Frostproof passed away Monday, April 6, 2009 at the Florida Hospital in Sebring.

He was born June 15, 1930 in Honolulu, HI to the late Thomas and Katherine McCreary; he came here 4 years ago from Honolulu. He was a veteran of Viet Nam and Korea, serving in the U.S. Air Force, and was a retired manager for Civil Service, Pearl Harbor. He was a member of the Frostproof VFW and was an avid golfer.

Robert was preceded in death by his son, Mike David McCreary. Survivors include his daughter, Marie "Sam" McCreary-Boyk of Lake Wales; son, Robert W. "Bob" McCreary of Kaneohe, HI; sister, Betty Lewis of Nashville, TN; brother, Thomas "Tunny" McCreary of Hendersonville, TN; 4 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM, Friday, April 10, 2009 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Frostproof with visitation beginning at 9:00 AM. Burial will follow at 2:30 PM on Friday at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
