Robert John “Bob” Maurer, 78

Robert John “Bob” Maurer of Frostproof passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at his residence.

He was born October 13, 1943, in Washington, D.C. to the late Edwin and Florence Maurer; he and his wife have been winter residents of Frostproof for 20 years and moved permanently in December 2021. Bob was the owner of a golf course and a past trustee of First Christian Church of Frostproof. He loved playing and teaching others to play golf. Bob was a former member of the USGA and was the coach for Hopewell Loudon High School Golf Team in Ohio.

Bob is survived by his wife of 21 years, Linda Maurer; son, Ronald J. Maurer and wife Stacy of Dayton, Ohio; stepdaughter, Melissa Frater and husband Marty of Arlington, Ohio; stepson, Zac Walters and wife Jennifer of Finlay, Ohio; grandson, Evan Maurer; and step-grandchildren, Andrew Moneer, Brandon Frater, Damon Walters, Austin Walters, and Aiden Walters.
