FROSTPROOF--Robert Champneys Knudsen, 80, of Frostproof died Sunday, August 26, 2007 at his home.

Born September 17, 1926 in Norwalk, CT; he came to Frostproof 6 years ago from Lake Wales where he lived for 11 years. He was the shop manager in Mitchell-Bate Co.; a member of the Lighthouse Baptist Church; and a veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Dolores A. Knudsen of Frostproof; daughters, Donna L. Spellman of Greenwood, WV; Ellen Knudsen of Woodbury, CT; sons, Robert C. Knudsen of Greenwood, WV; Lee O. Knudsen of Lake Wales, FL; John T. Knudsen of Greenwood, WV; brother, John T. Knudsen of Ormond Beach, FL; sister, Olive E. Winslow of Cheshire, CT; 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held 10:00 AM, Friday, August 31, 2007 at the Lighthouse Baptist Church in Lake Wales.
