Robert Earl Gilliland, Sr.

Robert Earl Gilliland, Sr. 76, of Lake Wales, Florida passed away on Thursday, December 3, 2015 in Lake Wales.

He was born on February 8, 1939 in Daytona Beach, Florida to the late
Capt. Raymond and Ida Belle (Bowlin) Gilliland and he has been a resident of this area since 2004 moving here from Islamorada, Florida. He was the Owner Operator of Bob’s Drilling Service and served in the US Army.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary F. Gilliland of Lake Wales; sons, Robert Earl Gilliland, III and his wife Melanie, of Lakeland, David Lee Gilliland and his wife Michelle, of Tavernier; sisters, Margie Dawsey of Picayune, MS, Sharon Boggs of Sumter, SC; brother, Wesley Gilliland of New Orleans, LA; 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
