Robert S. "Bob" Folkenberg

Elder Robert S. “Bob” Folkenberg of Winter Haven passed away Thursday, December 24, 2015 at his residence. He was born January 1, 1941 in San Juan, Puerto Rico to the late Stanley L. & Barbara Folkenberg; and he came to the area in 2013 from Virginia. He was a Minister for the Seventh-day Adventist Church where he served as pastor, missionary and administrator for over 40 years.  He enjoyed genealogy, flying, oil painting, reading, scuba diving, coin collecting and traveling - having visited 172 countries during his life.   Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Anita Folkenberg; son, Robert S. “Bob” Folkenberg, Jr. (Audrey) of Hong Kong; daughter, Kathi Jensen (David) of Winter Haven;  brother, Donald Folkenberg of Cummings, GA; sister, Jeannie Shepherd of Davidsonville, MD; and six grandchildren, Robert S. Folkenberg, III, Randall Folkenberg, Katelyn Folkenberg, Michael Jensen, Kristi Jensen and Matthew Jensen.  A private family graveside service will be held.  A Memorial Service will be held on January 10 at 4pm at the Avon Park Seventh-day Adventist Church.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to ShareHim Ministries (P.O.
