Robert Finta

Robert Joseph Finta of Lake Wales passed away Thursday, March 28, 2013 at the Lake Wales Medical Center.

He was born November 12, 1936 in Columbus, OH to the late Joseph & Susan Veronica Finta; and he came here from Shelby Township, MI 22 years ago. He was a automotive manufacturing engineer, a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church and St. Karen Catholic Church and a veteran of Korean, serving in the U.S. Navy.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Norma J. Finta; sons, Robert A. Finta (Kathleen) of Shelby Township, MI, Thomas E. Finta (Kathleen) of Marshfield, WI, Michael Finta (Denise) of Shelby Township, MI and John W. Finta (Lisa) of Tega Cay, SC; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be under the direction of Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons Funeral Home in Shelby Township, MI.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Muscular Dystrophy Association (3300 East Sunrise Drive, Tucson, AZ 85718).
