Robert Castillo Sr.

Robert Castillo Sr. of Lake Wales passed away Sunday, May 3, 2009 at the Florida Hospital Heartland Medical Center in Sebring.

He was born October 28, 1953 in Pittsburgh, PA to Alex & Ofelia Castillo; he came here from Texas in 1968. He was a contract laborer in the citrus industry and a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church. He liked collecting military items.

Robert was preceded in death by his father, Alex Castillo. Survivors include his daughter, Cindy Castillo of Lake Wales; sons, Robert Castillo Jr. of Lake Wales and Danny Castillo of Frostproof; mother, Ofelia Castillo of Lake Wales; sisters, Beatrice Castillo of Lake Wales, Rachel Castillo of Winter Haven and Dianna Castillo of Lake Wales; brothers, Hector Castillo of Haines City, Tony Castillo of Lake Wales, Johnny Castillo of Lake Wales and Chris Castillo of Winter Haven; 8 grandchildren, Tyler, Robert Cody III, Makayla, Zaniel, Carson, Daniel Jr., Justin Jr. and Kailey; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM, Thursday, May 7, 2009 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales. Funeral mass will be held 1:00 PM, Friday, May 8, 2009 at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Lake Wales with Father Anthony Bluett officiating. Interment will follow at the Lake Wales Cemetery.
