Robert G. “Bob” Dumke, 89
Robert G. “Bob” Dumke of Auburndale passed away Friday, October 20, 2023, at his residence.
He was born September 26, 1934, in Brillion, Wisconsin to the late Frank and Mildred Dumke; he moved to Lake Wales from Missouri in 1978. Bob was a Corrections Officer for the Polk County Sheriff’s Office and a was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a member of South Lake Wales Church of God. Bob was an ordained minister in the Church of God. He was a fan of the Green Bay Packers and loved computers. He lived his life for God, family, and country.
Bob was preceded in death by his brother, Howard Dumke. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Esther Dumke; daughters, Cindy Green and husband John of Polk City, Kim Brittain and husband Tim of Kenna, West Virginia, and Debbie Scanlan and husband Paul of Auburndale; sister, Lois Barnes of Conover, Wisconsin; grandchildren, Jason Adams and wife Bobbi, Pam Haldi and husband Daniel, Matthew Adams and wife Doris, John Tremblay and wife Danielle, Kenneth Westerfield and wife Krystina, Aaron Tremblay, and Christopher Brittain and wife Alexis, Bethany Daffron and husband Chuck ; 13 great-grandchildren; and 17 nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in his honor to Lighthouse Ministries in Lakeland or to Warner University Ministerial Program.
