Ricky “Rick” Lee Blue Sr., 61 of Bartow, Florida took the Stairway to Heaven on November 1, 2017. He was born December 15, 1955 in Urbana, Ohio to Raymond and Willa Jean Blue who have preceded him in death. He was one of 7 siblings and is survived by three Sisters. He moved to Lake Wales, FL in 1960 and was a lifelong resident of this area. He worked at Fisher & Floyd Roofing Company for more than 22 years until starting his own roofing company, Rick Blue & Sons Roofing. Rick was of the Baptist faith. He had a love for life and a love for his family. He enjoyed classic cars like his 1975 Anniversary Edition Corvette, Rock & Roll music and the many concerts he attended, and spending time on the water in the multiple boats he has owned. He was a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Great Grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Margaret “Penny” Blue of Bartow, FL, 6 children; Michael (Kami) Higbee of Auburndale, FL; Tracy (Jon Hendry) Holloway of Lake Wales, FL; Brian (Crystal) Higbee of Lake Wales, FL; Ricky Blue Jr. of Bartow, FL; Sherry (Scott) Peer of Auburndale, FL; and Erick (Lauren) Blue of Lakeland, Fl., 25 Grandchildren, and 31 (and 1 on the way) Great Grandchildren. Services will be held at Impact Church in Lake Wales, Florida on Saturday December 16, 2017 at 1:00 pm to be followed by a Repass at the Church.
