Richard Wayne Springfield of Frostproof passed away Saturday, January 14, 2023, at his residence.

He was born January 27, 1958, in Camden, Arkansas; he moved to Frostproof from Haines City 26 years ago. Richard was a Feed Mill Manager for Peace River Citrus and a member of the NRA.

Richard was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Springfield; son, Wesley Springfield; and brother, Thomas Springfield. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Janice Springfield; daughters, Brandy Daniels of Mulberry, Brittany Lee and husband Dusty of Frostproof, and Kathryn Springfield of Frostproof; son, Kyle Monk; sisters, Carol Springfield of Washington, Mary Teague of Winter Haven, and Linda Springfield of Idaho; brothers, John Springfield and wife Geneva of Pikeville, Tennessee, and James Springfield of Frostproof; and grandchildren, Devyn, Braelyn, Dusty, Ainsley, and Gracyn.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home of Frostproof.

A meet and greet will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Frostproof with Jeff Sikes officiating.
