Richard A. “Dick” Sizelove, 88 of Lake Wales passed away Saturday, November 15, 2014 at Savannah Court.
He was born September 12, 1926 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late John Milton and Mary Faye (Surline) Sizelove and has been a resident of this area since 1988 moving here from Bolingbrook, Illinois. He was retired from the US Army where he served in WWII, Korea and Viet Nam. Richard was a member of the American Legion, VFW, lifetime member of Golden Aires Senior Choir, loves collecting stamps, crafts and playing golf. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lake Wales.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Doris Ann Shipley Sizelove; brothers, Bruce A. Sizelove and John R. Sizelove.
Survivors include his wife, Ethel Morrison Sizelove; daughters, Barbara Jean Owen and husband Larry of Largo, Florida, Cheryl Kaye Pletz and husband Fritz of Virginia; sons, Richard M. Sizelove of Lake Wales, Timothy R. Sizelove of Wyoming, MI; step son, Joe Morrison and wife Shirley of Lake Wales; brother, Donald E. Sizelove of Boston, Massachusetts; 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 6:00 PM Monday, November 17, 2014 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Markley officiating. Interment will be held 12:30 PM Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida. Family will receive friends on Monday from 5:00 PM until service time.
