LAKE WALES--Richard W. “Rick” Searles of Lake Wales died Saturday, February 03, 2007 in Ohio. He was 54.
Born April 09, 1952 in Michigan; he moved to Haines City 30 years ago and came to Lake Wales in 2005. He was a self-employed mechanic at Haines City Lawn Repair. He was of the Protestant faith and a former member of the Haines City Moose Lodge. He enjoyed motorcycles, shooting pool and family time. He also was a gun, sword and coin collector.
Survivors include his daughters, Katie Conklin of Haines City; Rebecca Boldman of Lake Wales; step-daughter, Christina “Chrissy” Whatley of Haines City; son, Richard W. “Ricky” Searles of Taylor, MI; brothers, David, Jerry, Robert and Thomas; sister, Lynn; and 10 grandchildren.
Private family memorial services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association.
