Richard Lee Rounds

Richard Lee Rounds passed away on September 23, 2026, at AdventHealth Lake Wales. He was 89. He was born on June 12, 1937, in Gays Mills, Wisconsin.

Richard built a successful career and served as Vice President of Osco Drugs where he was the youngest manager for the company. He was regarded as a great boss to his staff, and he was remembered with respect by those who worked with him. He lived with Baptist faith and carried that faith through his life.

He also found great joy in the things he loved outside of work. Richard was an avid motorcycle rider, and one of the great memories of his life was riding close to half a million miles with his wife on his motorcycle. He loved family gatherings in Wisconsin, and he especially loved his family, with a special place in his heart for his grandchildren.

Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Rita Mae Rounds; his son, Richard Christopher Rounds; his parents, Frank and Hilda Rounds; as well as his brothers, Bill Rounds, Terrance Rounds, and Thomas Rounds.

He is survived by his son Michael Rounds and Michael’s wife, Sheryl. He is also survived by his brother, Theodore Rounds, and Theodore’s wife, Mary Ellen, of Palos Heights, Illinois; sister, Jane Stanke of Waupaca, Wisconsin; grandchildren, Kyle and Micah; and two great-grandchildren, Olive and Ellie.
