Richard Piscopo
10/21/1955 - 06/27/2023
Reverend Richard Piscopo was born in Brooklyn, New York.
During the summer of 1969, Grandmother Rosaria persuaded Richard to watch Billy Graham’s crusade broadcast from Madison Square Garden. On that summer evening, as America's astronauts were racing to the moon, the God of the universe entered the life of Richard Piscopo.
He married his wife, Ruth Chei, in 1976. Together they have been telling the story of God's love in their lives and witnessed many people come to God through their ministry. The Piscopos served as international evangelists for 47 years and over the course of this season, they traveled to 40 countries worldwide.
Richard was an enthusiastic mover for the Gospel of Christ. He served as a youth minister, campus worker, pastor, and guest evangelist of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. He also worked in association with the Pocket Testament League, Scripture Gift Mission, and Metropolitan New York Baptist Association. For the past 25 years, he served on the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention.
While going overseas, he received multiple immunizations that triggered his diseases with rare complications. After years of medical challenges, Richard has surrendered and is now HOME with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
