Richard J. Hill

Richard J. Hill of Lake Wales passed away Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at the Lake Wales Medical Center.

He was born January 18, 1946 in Detroit, MI to the late Harris L. & Mary Hill; and he came here from Michigan 17 years ago. He was a truck driver for Southeastern Atlantic Beverage and was a member of the Lake Wales Lutheran Church. He was also a member of the Lake Wales Moose Lodge, a charter member of the Houghton Lake Moose Lodge in Houghton Lake, MI and enjoyed cruising with his wife, fishing and metal detecting.

Richard was preceded in death by his sister, Rosie Wooliver. Survivors include his wife, Charlene Hill; daughter, Gina Marie Skinner (Leonard) of Buford, GA; son, Richard J. Hill, Jr. of Johannesburg, Africa; sister, Mary Callahan (Bill) of East Pointe, MI; brothers, Harris L. Hill, Jr. (Melanie) of McCutchenville, OH and Robert Hill of Capac, MI; and five grandchildren, Kyle Skinner, Marisa Skinner, Lisa Hill, Xenia Romiski and Madeline Hill.

Memorial service will be held at a later date at the Lake Wales Lutheran Church with Dr. John Glamann officiating.
