LAKE WALES -- Mr. Richard Wesley Hunt of Lake Wales died of heart failure Wednesday (Oct. 19, 2005). He was 80.

Born Oct. 15, 1925, in Clearwater, Mr. Hunt grew up in Polk County. He served in the Army during World War II and the Korean War. He co-owned the Highlander Restaurant, Lake Wales.

Mr. Hunt was preceded in death by his first wife, Jesse Sprott Hunt. He is survived by his wife, Leslie Hunt; son, Wesley S. Hunt, Williamsport, Pa.; daughter, Dorothy R. Dyess, Lady Lake; and three grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Church of the Good Shepherd, Lake Wales.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Church of the Good Shepherd.
