Richard A. Holley of Winter Haven passed away Sunday, May 13, 2012 at his residence.
He was born December 26, 1938 in Manchester, NH to the late Frederick & Rachel C. (Boilard) Holley; and has been a resident of the area since 1976. He was a retired master plumber and construction supervisor for Florida Engineering and Design, was a member of Grace Lutheran and served in the U.S. Navy. He was a master woodworker and enjoyed growing orchids, fishing and cooking.
Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Victoria "Vicky" Holley of Winter Haven; daughters, Rachel M. Holley of Winter Haven and Candy Daniels of Winter Haven; sons, Christopher P. Holley of Lake Alfred, Thomas F. Holley of Arkansas and Elijah Holley of Winter Haven; brothers, Jack Holley of Salisbury, MA and Bruce Holley of Lakeland; sister, Shirley King of Rowley, MA; ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, May 26, 2012 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales with Pastor Charles Reich officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the American Cancer Society (Post Office Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718) or the Good Shepherd Hospice (105 Arneson Avenue, Auburndale, FL 33823).
