Richard Byrd Hoelzel, 94

Richard Byrd Hoelzel of Indian Lake Estates passed away Monday, September 23, 2024 at his residence.

He was born October 8, 1929 in Allentown, Pennsylvania to the late John and Marguerite; he moved to Indian Lake Estates from Coral Springs in 1992. Richard was a supervising engineer for Bell South and was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was an active member of Indian Lake Estates Methodist Church and was a past member of Lutheran Ministry in Christ in Coral Springs. He also served in Kairos Ministry.

Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Hoelzel; and son, Kyle Hoelzel. He is survived by his son, Keith Hoelzel and wife Lizette of Fort Lauderdale; grandchildren, Gillian, Griffin, Kayla, Carleigh, and Kaycee; and great-granddaughter, Delilah.

A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth. Condolences can be sent to the family at www.marionnelsonfuneralhome.com.
