Richard David Fehringer, 74

Richard David Fehringer of Lake Wales passed away Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at Advent Health Lake Wales.

He was born June 20, 1947 in Ozark, Alabama, to the late Arnold and Norma Fehringer; he moved to Lake Wales with his family as a child and has been a resident since. Richard was a retired master carpenter. He built his own home and was a jokester that always kept people laughing. He loved old country music, karaoke, working in his yard, and listening to audio books.

Richard was preceded in death by his great-grandchild, Saban Hill in 2012; brothers, Arnold Fehringer, Jr., Johnny Fehringer, and Leonard Fehringer; and a sister who passed away at birth. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Joyce Fehringer; daughters, Beverly McDaniel (Esther) of Lake Wales, Loretta Carnley (David) of Lake Wales, and Victoria Fehringer (Paul Piva) of Lake Wales; sons, Robert Fehringer of Lake Wales, Earl Fehringer (Christina) of Lakeland, and Ryan Fehringer (Katy) of Lake Wales; 16 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 23, 2021 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales.
