Richard Alle Dusz

Richard A. Dusz of Lake Wales passed away Sunday, September 12, 2010 at his residence.

He was born September 27, 1929 in Trimble, OH to the late Albert and Minnie (Hartman) Dusz; and came to Lake Wales from Delaware, OH in 1993. He was a retired carpenter for Carpenter Union Local 200 in Ohio, a member of the First United Methodist Church of Lake Wales, and was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Army. He was also a member of the Lake Wales Masonic Lodge 242, Columbus Masonic Lodge 563, Lorraine Chapter O.E.S. in Columbus, Lake Wales O.E.S. #107, and was a past volunteer for Good Shepherd Hospice.

Richard was preceded in death by his son, Steven A. Dusz; three sisters and two brothers. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Pat Dusz; daughter, Debra S. Mills and her husband Gary of Harrisburg, PA; grandson, Christopher Mills and fiancé Alexis Moul of York, PA; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, September 16, 2010 at the First United Methodist Church, Lake Wales. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Lake Wales (230 North 5th Street, Lake Wales, FL 33853) or American Diabetes Association (4902 Eisenhower Blvd, Suite 295, Tampa, FL 33634).
