Richard E. "Dick" Corley

Richard E. "Dick" Corley, Sr. of Winter Haven passed away on Thursday, July 26, 2012 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Berea, Kentucky.

He was born February 17, 1934 in Cocoa Beach, Florida to the late Rev. Henry (H.R.) and Hattie Estelle (Johnson) Corley. Richard has been a lifelong resident of the area. He was a retired Self Employed Independent Fruit Salesman. Richard enjoyed fishing, reading and traveling, was a member of the Church of God in Winter Haven, and a veteran of Korea serving in the US Air Force.

Richard is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Alice Faye Corley in 2006; and parents, Rev. H.R. and Hattie Corley. Survivors include his daughters, Kathy Mallory (Cliff) of Winter Haven and Sandra Corley of Winter Haven; son, Richard E. Corley, Jr. (Carole) of Berea, KY; brother, Burell "Bill" Corley (Betty) of Winter Haven; sister-in-law, Gail Harrison (Bobby); seven grandchildren, Jerry, C.J., John, Richard III, Karissa, Brandon and Chris; eleven great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Saturday, August 4, 2012 at the Church of God in Winter Haven with Rev. Joseph Heard and Rev. Ed Corley officiating. Interment will follow at the Lake Wales Cemetery.

Family will receive friends on Friday, August 3, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales.
