Richard Braddy

Richard Braddy of Lake Wales passed away Monday, June 22, 2009 at the Winter Haven Hospital.

He was born August 15, 1938 in Vidalia, GA to the late Arthur Claxton & Magaline Carroll; he came here 52 years ago from Georgia. He was a truck driver for Great Wide Trucking and a member of the Freewill Baptist Church in Bartow. He loved fishing, trucking and his family.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Kathryn Braddy; daughters, Debra Tharp of Lake Wales and Denise Carr of Lake Wales; sons, Daryl Braddy of Lake Wales and Doyle Braddy of Winter Haven; sisters, Nellie Dixon, Betty Faye Carroll & Delores Anderson all of Georgia and Louise Powell of Bartow; brothers, Kenneth Carroll of Brunswick, GA, Mike Carroll of Brunswick, GA, Earl Carroll of Bartow and Eugene Carroll of Bartow; 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and his two beloved pets, Daisy & Boo.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM, Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales. Funeral service will be held 10:00 AM, Thursday, June 25, 2009 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Lake Wales Cemetery.
