LAKE WALES -- Mr. Richard P. "Rich" Andres of Lake Wales died of heart and lung failure Monday (March 13, 2006) at Lake Wales Medical Center. He was 61.

Born in Byron Center, Mich., on May 25, 1944, he came to Lake Wales from Orlando nine years ago. He was a plant manager for Country Fresh. He was a member of Lake Wales Moose Lodge. He was a Catholic.

Mr. Andres is survived by his wife, Marie A. Andres; daughters, Sue Jansma, Gen Hathaway, both of Lowell, Mich., Marcie Besmer, Newaygo, Mich., Tammy Warner, Nicki Greis, both of Michigan; sons, Garry McWhinney, Alto, Mich., Todd McWhinney, David McWhinney, both of Saranac, Mich., David Wingeier, Delton, Mich., Rodney Wingeier, Newaygo, Mich., Don McNinch, Gowen, Mich., Bob McWhinney, Lowell, Mich., Rick Andres, Tim Andres, both of Michigan; mother, Mildred Andres, Byron Center, Mich.; brother, Ron Andres, Hopkins, Mich.; sisters, Pat Ferner, Byron Center, Mich., Debra Hartl, Wayland, Mich., Pam LaPoire, Hudsonville, Mich.; 32 grandchildren; six greatgrandchildren.

Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Lake Wales Moose Lodge.
