Rhonda Jean Washburn (Eggleston) was born to John and Janice Richardson (Eggleston) on June 10th 1956 in Glens Falls, New York. She peacefully passed away on April 11th 2026 at Advent Health Tampa (Pepin Institute) joining her daughter Trisha Jean Smith. Rhonda and her husband moved to Frostproof, Florida 14 years ago where they enjoyed the warmer weather and made many friends that became like family. Family was the most important to her and she loved with all her heart. She was a fierce defender and supporter of her loved ones. This was the most common reason that her and her best friend/cousin Jody Eggleston were always in trouble when they got together. She always felt at home at the beach, collecting seashells and soaking up the sun. She loved capturing every moment with pictures and many times she would turn those pictures into scrapbooks, capturing special moments. She loved Elvis Presley and frequented many of the Elvis impersonator events. There was never a shortage of gifts for special occasions or sometimes just because she thought of you when she was shopping. Rhonda is predeceased by her parents, her brother Johnny Richardson, granddaughter Jenna Lyn, and great grandson Bastian. She is survived by her husband of 43
years and love of her life, Jeffrey Washburn, her siblings, Lorraine and Bill Palmer, Bonnie Wood and Bill Holland, and Brian Richardson, her children, Jeffrey and Suzanne Washburn, Brenda and Ryan McMurray, and Jennifer and Scott Burnham. Rhonda abosultely cherished and doted on her grandchildren, Josh and Jessica Ward, Tiffinie and Jason Heil, Amanda and Corey Bradley, Jacob and Brooke Whiting, Katelyn and Brooklynn Smith, Jeffrey and Ken Washburn, Janice Whiting and Nailah, Tanner and Kate Smith, Mikey Smith and Emily, Alannah Gould and Tristen and Shaun Tharp. Rhonda and Jeff have many great grandchildren that brought her so much joy and laughter. She also has many nieces and nephews that she loved as her own. A celebration of life will be held on her birthday June 10th at the VFW on Luzurne road, Queensbury, New York 5-9pm.
