Rhonda Stokes Taylor

Rhonda Stokes Taylor of Lake Wales passed away Monday, June 1, 2009 at the Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale.

She was born September 18, 1955 in Lake Wales to the late Vernon D. & Louise (Booth) Stokes; she was a lifelong resident of the area. She was in the newspaper business for 25 years and was in sales for the Lakeland Ledger and Winter Haven New Chief. She attended the New Harvest Worship Center. She loved animals, enjoyed outdoor activities, family times and was a collector of antiques, figurines and western memorabilia.

Survivors include her husband, Timothy Michael Taylor; sons, Matt Mesimer of Lake Wales, Clay Taylor of Wauchula, Matthew Taylor of Wauchula and Mike Taylor of Arcadia; daughter, Terri Tharpe of Myakka City; brother, Johnnie Stokes of Lake Wales; sister, Verna Stokes Husted of Winter Haven; and five grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, June 5, 2009 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales with visitation starting at 10:00 AM.
