Rheba I. Shaw

Rheba I. Shaw of Lake Wales passed away Friday, January 13, 2012 at The Consulate Health Care of Winter Haven.

She was born October 24, 1920 in Urbana, OH to the late Emerson H. & Mary Catherine (Wilkins) Ritter; and she came here from Springfield, OH in 1956. She was a retired bookkeeper from Lake Wales Citrus Growers and was a member of the First Baptist Church, where she was the organist for 20 years. She was also a member of the Lake Wales Woman's Club and Christian Woman's Club in Lake Wales.

Rheba was preceded in death by her husband, Delmas L. Shaw in 1987. Survivors include her son, Rev. Fr. Timothy Joel Shaw (Arlene) of Winter Haven; two grandchildren, Michael Shaw (Melody) and Stephanie Moore (Jason); three great-grandchildren, Bryan Shaw, Makayla Shaw and Kaleb Ritter Moore; and three nephews, Mike Wolf (Kathy), Steve Wolf (Ellen) and Mark Wolf (Lynda).

Visitation will be held 4:00 until 6:00 pm Sunday, January 15, 2012 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales. The memorial service will be held 10:00 am Monday, January 16, 2012 at the St. Paul Episcopal Church in Winter Haven with Rev. Father Timothy Shaw officiating. Private interment will be held at the Lake Wales Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Paul's Episcopal Church (601 Avenue L, NW, Winter Haven, Florida 33881), Lake Wales Art Council (1099 State Road 60 East, Lake Wales, FL 33853) or the First Baptist Church (338 East Central Avenue, Lake Wales, FL 33853).
