Rev. A J Steverson of Lake Wales, Florida passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at Winter Haven Hospital.
He was born January 2, 1941 in Telfair County, Georgia to the late Walter J. and Mary D. (Mixon) Steverson. He has been a resident of the area since 1982 coming from Adel, Georgia. He was a retired Assembly of God Minister, his pastorates include Trilby A of G in Trilby, FL, Keysville A of G in Lithia, FL, North Phenix A of G in Phenix City, AL, First A of G in Adel, GA and he retired from First Assembly of God (Impact Church) in Lake Wales, FL where he served as Pastor Emeritus until his death, he served as Presbyter and Ordained Minister in the Florida Peninsular District A of G.
He is preceded in death by 7 brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years Lillian B. “Sister Honey” Steverson, daughter Dr. Karen Steverson of Lake Wales, FL, sons Kevin Steverson, Lt. Col, Ret. and wife Jaelyn of Orange Park, FL, Keith Steverson and wife Rebecca of Lake Wales, FL, sisters Audrey Faye Barfield of Bartow, FL, Lenora Briley of Phenix City, AL, 4 grandchildren Michael Steverson, Rachael Siciginano (Mikey), Adam Steverson, Kylee Tyer, and 2 great grandchildren Enzo Siciginano and Rhea Steverson.
Memorial service will be held 4:00PM Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Impact Church with Rev. Walter Nelson officiating. Those who wish may make contributions to the Impact Church Memorial Fund at 1201 Burns Avenue Lake Wales, FL. 33853
