Renate "Renee" Shelley

Renate "Renee" Shelley of Lake Wales passed away Thursday, March 15, 2012 at the Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale.

She was born December 27, 1946 in Mainz, Germany; and she moved to Lake Wales from Virginia in 2005. She was a budget analyst for the United State Army and was an artist.

Renee was preceded in death by her mother, Ida Johannes Nicolai. Survivors include her husband of 47 years, John Shelley; a daughter, Mireille "Missy" Shelley of Caldwell, ID; a son, Marlon Shelley & companion, Ina Alles of Mannheim, Germany; her father, Karl Heinz Nicolai of Mainz, Germany; and three granddaughters, Desiree, Jada and Aaliyah.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 until 5:00 pm Sunday, March 19, 2012 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales.
