She was born January 5, 1938 in Jamaica to the late Ivan and Viola Wellington Smart. She was a retired CNA.

Memorial services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, July 29, 2013 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home with Rev. David Durham officiating.
