Reida Hansford Keen, 70

Reida Hansford Keen of Lake Wales passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at her residence.

She was born August 22, 1952 in Lakeland to the late Henry and Eleanor Hansford. Reida was a retired teacher and a lifelong resident of the area. She was a member of The Church on the Hill and previously attended First Baptist Church of Lake Wales. Reida was the Senior Regent of Lake Wales Chapter 1974 Women of the Moose and a member of the Lake Wales Moose Lodge. She was the secretary and a member of the Lake Wales VFW and previous secretary of the Lake Wales Mardi Gras Krew Zaz Zu.

Reida was preceded in death by her first husband, Douglas Niebaum; second husband, Sammy Keen; infant daughter; and brother, Robert “Bob” Hansford. She is survived by her sister, Heidi Gravel; nieces, Rachel Gartell and husband Lance of Gresham, Oregon, and Renée Hansford-Brown and husband Chris of Portland, Oregon; sister-in-law, Becky Hansford-Krell and husband Jim of Orlando; four nephews; one great niece; one great nephew; dog, Dolly; cats, Yoda and Kebbler; adopted dog, Bootsey; and many close friends.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 27, 2023 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales with Deacon Joe Iskra officiaitng.
