Raymond M. “Ray” Brotherton, 85 Raymond M. “Ray” Brotherton of Frostproof, Florida passed away Monday, April 10, 2017 at Somer’s Hospice House in Sebring. He was born December 20, 1931 in Washington, D.C. to the late Raymond Marion and Ruth (Ambrose) Brotherton; he has been a resident of the area since 1986 coming from Maryland. He was a retired sales supervisor for the Ottenbergs Bakery and was a veteran in the United States Navy serving in Korea. He was an active member of the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd in Lake Wales, where he serviced as usher for many years. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Dolores Brotherton; daughters, Karol Lagana of Laurel, MD, April Brady (Chuck) of Points, WV, Cheryl Parks (Larry) of Augusta, WV and Carole Law (Vance) of Casper, WY; sons, Joseph Brotherton (Heidi) of Odenton, MD and Kenneth Dando (Cheryl) of Brookeville, MD; brother, Warren Brotherton of Kearneysville, WV; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd in Lake Wales with Fr. Thomas C. Seitz officiating. Contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice at 105 Arneson Avenue, Auburndale, Florida 33823.
