Ray Bryan of Lake Wales passed away Wednesday, December 09, 2009 at the Florida Hospital in Orlando.
He was born July 1, 1933 in Paxton, FL to the late Jefferson David & Sarah (Hellum) Bryan; he came here from Paxton in 1955. He was a retired fork lift operator for Citrus World and was a member of the Revival Tabernacle. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, enjoyed riding around town with the love of his life, visiting with friends and going to church. He also enjoyed fishing with Granny.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Eva Bryan; daughters, Beverly Joan White of Tennessee and Patsey Ann Crosby of Winter Haven; step-son, Billy Gill of Richmond, VA; 8 grandchildren, Danny Gill, Joe Gill, Mark Gill, Chris Baker, Hollie Ream, Michael Stubbs, Stoney Morgado, and Timmy Gill; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 until 4:00 PM, Sunday, December 13, 2009 and the funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, December 14, 2009 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales with Rev. A.J. Steverson officiating. Interment will follow at the Lake Wales Cemetery.
