Rainey Peckinpaugh

Rainey Peckinpaugh 88, of Lake Wales passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at the Winter Haven Hospital.

She was born October 30, 1924 in Hindman, Kentucky to the late John and Mary Jane (Noble) Hale and has been a resident of the area for 10 years moving here from Middletown, Indiana. She was a retired Bookkeeper for Peck’s Garage. Rainey was Past Treasure and President of the American Legion post 216 in Middletown, Indiana, she served as a Middletown Township Trustee and was instrumental in starting the local food bank; she was of the Methodist Faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Galen Peckinpaugh in 2011

Survivors include her daughter, Linda and husband Jim Valentine of Lake Wales; brother, Guy C. Hale of Jacksonville; 5 grandchildren, John Eichhorn, James Eichhorn, Charity Andrews, Debhora Barlow, Cassie Peckinpaugh; 4 Great Grandchildren, Evan Eichhorn, Nicholas Eichhorn, Emerson Eichhorn and Kayla Peckinpaugh

Memorial services will be held Saturday, October 19, 2013 in Middletown, Indiana
